Face makeup

Face makeup is a very broad category and includes everything you would put on your face. Some might include eye makeup and lip color/makeup too but for the purpose of this content, this is only about the products that touch your skin-tone on your face—not lips or eyes. Face makeup has several sub-categories including foundation, primer, concealed, blushes, powders, bronzers and other products. There is a lot to cover here and while it might be a bit superficial, you have to look at it from the perspective of your personal skin-type. Oily skin requirements are different from dry skin requirements. There are products that can do double duty as well. There are products for face make up that are very skin-type specific as well. However the exploration of the different products depends on whether you want a liquid foundation or a powder foundation; a powder for setting makeup or something to blot oily skin as well as blushes, bronzers, aluminizes and maybe even the tools you might use to apply these items to your skin. This is no different than if you were to go to a department store and wanted to try some new products from a line: you need to figure out what kind of products you want based on your skin-type and what kind of finish you want. For those who have oily skin, they often want a foundation or a powder that will blot oily skin and leave them with a matte finish. For those with normal skin, they would like a product that leaves them looking natural. For those with dry skin, they want something that will give them a satin or dewy finish that doesn’t allow the skin to look so powdery dry. We start with the basics (other than sunscreen which you should always apply before you put on your makeup. SPF 30 is the recommended sunscreen these days.) If you have questions about face makeup, talk to your friends, female family members or others who wear makeup and ask them questions and ask them if you can test – with cotton swabs—some of their products to see how their products work on your skin-type. Your best bet is to do some shopping both in stores and online at various beauty sites to find some great products recommendations that are well-suited for the look you are trying to achieve.
